The Survey is an annual scan of the Jewish startup sector conducted by Jumpstart in partnership in North America with The Natan Fund and The Samuel Bronfman Foundation and, for the first time this year, in Europe with the Pears Foundation and the ROI Community of Young Jewish Innovators. The 2010 survey has a special emphasis on leadership and will hopefully illuminate some common traits and challenges facing the social entrepreneurs who are starting new Jewish projects. The previous survey, conducted in the last part of 2008, was the source for the widely read report, The Innovation Ecosystem: Emergence of a New Jewish Landscape published last year. That survey placed special emphasis on the financial crisis and how it was affecting emerging Jewish organizations. The Ecosystem report was widely heralded as an important milestone in the maturation of the Jewish startup sector, which is increasingly being seen as an critical source for new ideas and approaches to building Jewish life in the 21st century. We encourage leaders of Jewish projects from around the globe to register to take survey which will provide important data to innovators, funders and communal professionals about the state of our field. |
